Cole Barron

Chief Operating Officer

Cole Barron brings deep operational leadership across complex drilling and development programs. He has planned and executed projects across the Haynesville, Permian, Utica, South Texas, Arkoma Basin, and offshore international assets.

Cole’s experience includes serving as Drilling Manager at Trinity Operating, where he led development operations and supported acquisitions through technical and economic evaluation. Earlier in his career, he held technical roles at Southwestern Energy focused on Haynesville development and was a primary contributor to the deployment of thermally coated drillpipe. While working in the Utica, Cole served as lead drilling engineer and planned and executed the Rothenbuhler 4H, the longest onshore well drilled in North America at the time, with a 23,400' lateral. He began his career at Occidental Petroleum and later worked at ExxonMobil as lead drilling engineer aboard the Noble Tom Madden drillship, supporting offshore exploration and development in Guyana. He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
